Walking for autism awareness is an impactful way to support and uplift the autism community. It signifies a commitment to advocating for acceptance, understanding, and inclusion of individuals with autism. By participating in such an event, you're helping to educate others, raise essential funds for resources and research, and show solidarity with families and individuals affected by autism. It's also an opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths and talents of those with autism while contributing to the broader goal of creating a more compassionate and inclusive society.
Money donated to a church walkathon serves two important purposes:
I walk to honor and celebrate those who fall on the Autism Spectrum. I walk specifically for my son Timothy L. Shaw II who falls on the Autism Spectrum. Autism is an affliction that touches everyone whether it be a son, daughter, father, mother or friend. God made us all with one blood and he made us all in his image so we honor and celebrate those made in his image that fall on the autism spectrum. I thank God for my son and all that God has put in his life and mine. Let us walk for each of our sons and daughters and pledge to fight the affliction of autism but as we fight, we will always thank God for what he has allowed. To God be the Glory forever and ever......Amen
Timothy Shaw has pledged to walk 15 miles
